I have a passion for women and recognize the immense contributions and potential of Black women in the field of science. I acknowledge the systemic barriers and underrepresentation faced by Black women in science and commit ourselves to fostering an inclusive and empowering environment that supports their success and advancement. Through the implementation of annual fellowships, we seek to address these systematic imbalances and shift the narrative and the participation of a minority group which plays an important role in the science ecosystem.
